Ihre Aufgaben als Process Development Engineer Assembly & Integration (m/w/x):
- We shape the assembly and integration processes for the entire ZEISS product portfolio, where highly sophisticated optical components are transformed into reliable, state-of-the-art systems for semiconductor manufacturing. This includes precision assembly, alignment, integration, and quality-assured metrology.
- In this role, you will work closely with interdisciplinary expert teams from design, engineering, equipment development, software, and cleaning technology to develop optimized manufacturing equipment and efficient process flows.
- Together with Engineering and Operations, you will ensure that robust and high-performing processes are successfully transferred to the shop floor and remain stable throughout their lifecycle.
- An additional focus of this position is the data-driven analysis and optimization of manufacturing and integration processes.
- By leveraging statistical methods, advanced data analytics, and machine learning approaches, you will identify process drivers, improve process capability, and contribute to a deeper understanding of complex manufacturing systems.
- Conceptualize, develop, and industrialize assembly and integration processes for opto-mechanical components, assemblies, and modules, ensuring operational readiness and long-term process stability.
- Analyze and optimize manufacturing and integration processes using statistical methods, data analytics, and machine learning approaches to improve process capability, stability, and efficiency.
- Define and align technical requirements and drive the development, implementation, and release of assembly and integration solutions in close collaboration with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners.
Die Anforderungen:
- Successfully completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline; preferably with a PhD or equivalent professional experience
- Solid knowledge of assembly, integration, and manufacturing technologies as well as experience in data-driven process analysis and statistical methods (e.g. DoE, SPC, regression analysis, process capability analysis); experience with ML, Python and industrial data analytics is a plus
- Strong planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills combined with high initiative, customer orientation, resilience, and a business-oriented mindset; fluent in German and English.
